Card shuffles back and forth
Cause Card acts like it is magnetically encoding.
Action Adjust reflective card sensor.
Card stack falls out of hopper onto lead-screw
Cause Card retainer is sticking during back travel.
Action Free up card retainer so that it slides smoothly. Call Technician.
Jam at card hopper
Cause Platen not in position.
Action Platen, located at the card hopper, must be fully seated.

Cause Pick position wrong.
Action Pick position must be set so that rear pick edge of card carriage is 6 steps under, flush with rear hopper.

Cause Card out of tolerance.
Action Card must be correct size.

Cause Hopper pick edge (gate) out of adjustment.
Action Adjust hopper pick edge (gate).
Multiple cards picked at hopper
Cause Cards are stuck together.
Action Replace cards.

Cause Card weight is missing.
Action Insert card weight.

Cause Card size is incorrect.
Action Replace cards.

Cause Cards binding in hopper.
Action Call Technician.

Cause Hopper pick edge (gate) is set too high.
Action Lower hopper pick edge (gate) located at card hopper. Call Technician.
POWER light off/Printer will not print
Cause Power switch off.
Action Switch ON/OFF to ON.

Cause Power cord not plugged into printer or AC outlet.
Action Plug power cord into printer or AC outlet.

Cause No power in AC outlet.
Action Check circuit breaker. Call Technician.
POWER light on, computer not communicating with printer
Cause Image lost.
Action Reprint last image by pressing PRINT button.

Cause Data (SCSI or Parallel) cable not connected.
Action Plug in data (SCSI or Parallel) cable to printer and computer, restart computer.

Cause Intermittent power loss/Printer turned on after computer.
Action Turn off printer, capture station and work station. Then, in the following order turn back on printer, capture station and work station.
ALARM and POWER light flashing, card stops at flip station, but does not exit
Cause Laminator not at operating temperature.
Action No action required, wait for laminate station to warm up. Wait time approximately 3-5 minutes. After laminate station has reached temperature, card will automatically advance and exit printer.
POWER light and MEDIA light are on, printer does not print, "Receptor Out" message
Cause Printer is out of cards or cards are on top of card weight.
Action Open cover, remove card weight, load cards, place card weight on top of cards, close cover. ALARM light will start flashing. When printer is ready, ALARM light will stop flashing.
POWER light and ALARM light on, printer will not print "Receptor Out"/"Door open" message
Cause Cards are binding in card hopper.
Action Open front cover, remove cards and weight, reload cards and weight, close cover.

Cause Cards are damaged or distorted.
Action Open front cover, remove cards and weight, discard damaged or distorted cards, reload cards and replace weight, close cover.

Cause Front cover open or not fully closed.
Action Close cover fully - printer will initialize. If not, call Technician.
"Can't find home sensor" message
Cause Printer can't find sensor or card pick jam.
Action Open front cover, clear jam. Close cover.

Cause May need new reflective card sensor.
Action Call Technician.
Card has both images printed on same side
Cause Card did not flip.
Action Check lift motor, flip motor and check for binding.
"Door open error" message
Cause Front cover open.
Action Close cover. If this does not work, call Technician.
"Printer halted after error" message
Cause Error occurred, printer is recovering.
Action Click OK button on computer screen.
"Self test error" message
Cause Failure while attempting to start printer.
Action Turn off printer, capture station and work station. Then, in the following order turn back on printer, capture station and work station. If this does not work, call Technician.
